  12. If I buy a SCSI controller for my 1200 (either PCMCIA, i.e Squirrel, or 
  13. for my Blizzard 1260 card), will the SCSI interface override the IDE 
  14. controller already fitted? (In other words - can I still get any use of 
  15. my IDE hard drive?) Or do I have to go SCSI all the way.

  17. Also, what are the (average) xfer rates for good SCSI HD's ?? (Are there 
  18. other limitations than just the SCSI interface ?). Currently I have 
  19. (according to the not so thrustworthy SysInfo) about 2 MB/s peak read on 
  20. my 545 MB Quantum IDE drive. How much will I gain with a good SCSI II??
